Kevin Doyle’s Roscommon Soles is a dance-driven ensemble whose concert sets literally move with the music as they explore “The Irish Roots of American Tap Dance.” National Heritage Fellow Kevin Doyle will set the rhythm with his signature jigs, reels, hornpipe, and tap dance, joined by sister Maureen Doyle and tap dancer Amara Grant. Providing the tunes that underscore the songs, steps, and stories or stand on their own as exquisite solos or driving ensemble melodies are All Ireland Fiddler Sheila Falls and Joshua Kane on flute and whistle, who will be joined by uilleann piper Caoimhín Ó Fearghail from Co. Waterford, and Diarmuid Ó Meachair from Co. Cork, a traditional Irish accordion and melodeon player. The show will also feature special guest, champion step dancer Kiera Nagle, of Kelly School of Irish Dance.
